TO: The Minnesota 7th District American Legion Officers, Committee Chairs, and Posts
SUBJECT: Call of the 7th District Department of Minnesota American Legion Annual Convention,
and Executive Board Meeting if deemed needed by incoming commander.
In accordance with the District Constitution and By-laws the Annual Convention of the 7th District American Legion is called to convene in New London , Minnesota, , On May 30, 2026, hosted by the New London Post 537 and Auxiliary. The session will begin at 9:00A.M.
The purpose of the convention is to receive reports from the District Officers and Committee Chairs, and to consider any other business that may properly be brought before such convention, in conformance with the Constitution and By-Laws of the National, Department, and District Organizations.
We are requesting an oral report, along with a typed copy, to be included in the minutes, on your committee chair position, or the office you hold in the 7th District, for the 2025-2026 year. If you are unable to report in person, please send the Adjutant a typed copy to read. If you are unable to type, please write legibly so that it can be read and a typed copy made. Check the schedule for the approximate time and be available to report promptly. Reports will be LIMITED TO 5 MINUTES EACH, unless the
District Commander or the District Adjutant is informed of additional time needed prior to the convention.
The Executive Board may meet at the close of the convention at the Incoming Commanders call.
